My name is Shan and I’m an artist, writer, chef, lifelong learner, avid reader, intrepid explorer, and compassionate listener all wrapped up in one creative, caring soul.
Art in its myriad forms brings me joy, whether it’s painting expressive watercolors, sculpting clay into whimsical creatures, stitching fabrics into colorful quilts, or photographing nature’s ephemeral wonders. I find inspiration all around me and love impromptu sketching sessions with willing friends!
Cooking and sharing meals is another creative outlet I love, especially trying recipes from diverse cuisines and cultures. Over the years, I’ve befriended many a spice jar and novel ingredient on my culinary adventures. If you ever need tasting assistance, I’m your gal!
Few things delight me more than traveling this amazing world of ours. Exploring bustling city streets, winding village alleys, sun-dappled forests, and remote beaches fills me with awe and inspires my writing. Speaking of words, poetry lets me distill life’s lovely moments into lines that lift the spirit. Storytelling transports me to places both real and imagined. I’d love swapping stories and travel tales over coffee or tea!
