Welcome to Snapwire.com ("Snapwire.com," "we," "us" or "our"). Snapwire.com provides a fast, beautiful and fun way for you to share media through our content-sharing platform. Just snap a photo, choose a filter to transform the look and feel, add comments (if you like) and share!


Our Privacy Policy explains how we and some of the companies we work with collect, use, share and protect information in relation to our mobile services, web site, and any software provided on or in connection with Snapwire.com services (collectively, the "Service"), and your choices about the collection and use of your information.


By using our Service, you understand and agree that we are providing a platform for you to post content, including photos, comments and other materials ("User Content"), to the Service and to share User Content publicly. This means that other Users may search for, see, use, or share any of your User Content that you make publicly available through the Service, consistent with the terms and conditions of this Privacy Policy and our Terms of Use (which can be found at https://news.snapwire.com/pages/terms-of-use).


Our Policy applies to all visitors, users, and others who access the Service ("Users").


1. Information We Collect


We collect the following information, Contact Information, such as name, alias, address, phone number, social media user IDs, email address, and similar contact data. The type of personal information we collect depends on how you interact with us and which Services you use.

Communications between you and Snapwire.com. For example, we may send you Service-related emails (e.g., account verification, changes/updates to features of the Service, technical and security notices). Note that you may not opt out of Service-related emails.


Finding your friends on Snapwire.com:


You can choose to use our "Find Friends" feature to locate other people with Snapwire.com accounts either through (i) your contacts list, (ii) third-party social media sites or (iii) through a search of names and usernames on Snapwire.com.


If you choose to find your friends through (i) your device's contacts list, then Snapwire.com will access your contacts list to determine whether or not someone associated with your contact is using Snapwire.com.


If you choose to find your friends through a (ii) third-party social media site, then you will be prompted to set up a link to the third-party service and you understand that any information that such service may provide to us will be governed by this Privacy Policy.


If you choose to find your friends (iii) through a search of names or usernames on Snapwire.com then simply type a name to search and we will perform a search on our Service.


Note about "Invite Friends" feature: If you choose to invite someone to the Service through our "Invite friends" feature, you may select a person directly from the contacts list on your device and send a text or email from your personal account. You understand and agree that you are responsible for any charges that apply to communications sent from your device, and because this invitation is coming directly from your personal account, Snapwire.com does not have access to or control this communication.


Analytics information:


We use third-party analytics tools to help us measure traffic and usage trends for the Service. These tools collect information sent by your device or our Service, including the web pages you visit, add-ons, and other information that assists us in improving the Service. We collect and use this analytics information with analytics information from other Users so that it cannot reasonably be used to identify any particular individual User.


User Content, such as communications content, suggestions, questions, comments, feedback, and any other information you may send to us, that you provide to us when you contact us, or that you post on our Services (including information in alerts, folders, notes, and shares of content), and similar data.




Cookies and similar technologies:


When you visit the Service, we may use cookies and similar technologies like pixels, web beacons, and local storage to collect information about how you use Snapwire.com and to provide features to you.


We may ask advertisers or other partners to serve ads or services to your devices, which may use cookies or similar technologies placed by us or the third party.

Device identifiers are small data files or similar data structures stored on or associated with your mobile device, which uniquely identify your mobile device. Some features of the Service may not function properly if use or availability of device identifiers is impaired or disabled.


Metadata:


Metadata is usually technical data that is associated with User Content. For example, Metadata can describe how, when and by whom a piece of User Content was collected and how that content is formatted.


Users can add or may have Metadata added to their User Content including a hashtag (e.g., to mark keywords when you post a photo), geotag (e.g., to mark your location to a photo), comments or other data. This makes your User Content more searchable by others and more interactive. If you geotag your photo or tag your photo using other's APIs then, your latitude and longitude will be stored with the photo and searchable (e.g., through a location or map feature) if your photo is made public by you in accordance with your privacy settings.


We may collect Location Data, such as the location of your device, your household, and similar location data. Demographic Information, such as country, preferred language, age and date of birth, marriage status, gender, physical characteristics, personal or household/familial financial status and metrics, and similar data.


We may also collect your Image, such as still pictures, video, voice, and other similar data.


Identity Information, such as government-issued identification information, tax identifiers, social security numbers, other government-issued identifiers, and similar data. Additionally we may collect financial Information, such as billing address, credit card information, billing contact details, and similar data,


2. How We Use Your Information

This helps us also to Conduct and communicate with you regarding recruiting and human resources administration and to Comply with your instructions or to fulfill other specified purposes for which you have given us your consent.

Our Service Providers will be given access to your information as is reasonably necessary to provide the Service under reasonable confidentiality terms.


We may also share certain information such as cookie data with third-party advertising partners. This information would allow third-party ad networks to, among other things, deliver targeted advertisements that they believe will be of most interest to you.


We may remove parts of data that can identify you and share anonymized data with other parties. We may also combine your information with other information in a way that it is no longer associated with you and share that aggregated information.

Subject to your profile and privacy settings, any User Content that you make public is searchable by other Users and subject to use under our Snapwire.com API. The use of the Snapwire.com API is subject to the API Terms of Use which incorporates the terms of this Privacy Policy.


If you remove information that you posted to the Service, copies may remain viewable in cached and archived pages of the Service, or if other Users or third parties using the Snapwire.com API have copied or saved that information.


What happens in the event of a change of control:


If we sell or otherwise transfer part or the whole of Snapwire.com or our assets to another organization (e.g., in the course of a transaction like a merger, acquisition, bankruptcy, dissolution, liquidation), your information such as name and email address, User Content and any other information collected through the Service may be among the items sold or transferred. You will continue to own your User Content. The buyer or transferee will have to honor the commitments we have made in this Privacy Policy.

How long we keep your User Content:


Following termination or deactivation of your account, Snapwire.com, its Affiliates, or its Service Providers may retain information (including your profile information) and User Content for a commercially reasonable time for backup, archival, and/or audit purposes.


We calculate retention periods based upon and reserve the right to retain personal information for the periods that the personal information is needed to: (a) fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Statement, (b) meet the timelines determined or recommended by regulators, professional bodies, or associations, (c) comply with applicable laws, legal holds, and other legal obligations (including contractual obligations), and (d) comply with your requests.


6. Children's Privacy


Snapwire.com does not knowingly collect or solicit any information from anyone under the age of 13 or knowingly allow such persons to register for the Service. The Service and its content are not directed at children under the age of 13. In the event that we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under age 13 without parental consent, we will delete that information as quickly as possible. If you believe that we might have any information from or about a child under 13, please contact us.


Our Services provide information solutions and, as such, our Services are intended for professionals and/or individuals who are over eighteen (18) years of age. We do not target children and do not knowingly collect any personal information from children under the age of thirteen (13). When a user discloses personal information on our Services, that user is representing to us that he or she is at least eighteen (18) years of age.

Snapwire Terms of Use


The following terms and conditions (the “Agreement”) govern the use of the Snapwire Breaking News websites and all content and services available at or through the websites (collectively, the “Service”). The Service is offered subject to your acceptance without modification of the Agreement. By accessing or using any part of the Service, you agree to become bound by the Agreement. You may not, without Snapwire Breaking News consent, "mirror" any Content contained on the Site or any other server. You may not use the Site in any manner that could damage, disable, overburden, or impair the Site, or interfere with any other party's use and enjoyment of the Site. Snapwire Breaking News reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to terminate your access to the Site, or any portion thereof, at any time, for any reason or for no reason at all, without prior notice or any notice.


Limits


You acknowledge and agree that Snapwire Breaking News imposes a limit on the size and the number of requests you may send to the Service. Snapwire may change such limits at any time, at Snapwire’s sole discretion.


Payment and renewal


By purchasing a paid subscription, you agree to pay Snapwire Breaking News the applicable fees for your usage of the Service. You will be billed monthly for the fees calculated over the previous calendar month. You authorize Snapwire to collect the fees using any payment method we have on record for you. We may increase or add new fees after giving you advance notice.


Listed prices are in U.S. dollars (USD) and include any sales tax (VAT) where applicable. The charged prices are equal to the listed prices regardless of the amount of sales tax to be paid. Payments are not refundable.


Purchase of any service, subscription or product on Snapwire Breaking News website may require you to provide personal information, including your name, address, telephone number, email address, credit card and billing information herein called “Financial information”, to an independent third party selected by, but not affiliated with Snapwire Breaking News, who shall be responsible for collecting, transmitting and/or processing your Personal Financial Information and, in some instances, fulfilling your order, all payment and obligations for purchase shall be governed by the terms of use and service provided by the third party processor.


Intellectual property


Snapwire Breaking News respects the intellectual property rights of others. Snapwire Breaking News asks you to respect the intellectual property rights of Snapwire Breaking News. All rights, title and interest in and to such property will remain solely with Snapwire Breaking News.


Others Users’ Content


Snapwire Breaking News does not control the User Content posted by users via Snapwire Breaking News Services and, as such, you understand you may be exposed to offensive, inaccurate or otherwise objectionable User Content. Snapwire Breaking News assumes no responsibility or liability for this type of Content. If you become aware of any misuse of the Snapwire Breaking News Services, including in violation of any "Restrictions on Use of Snapwire Breaking News Services," please report it immediately. Snapwire Breaking News assumes no responsibility for monitoring inappropriate User Content or user conduct.


Responsibility


You take full responsibility for using this Site. As a condition of using features of the Site, you may be required to register on the Site and/or select a username and password. All registration information you submit to create an account must be accurate and kept up to date. Your failure to do so will constitute a breach of the Agreement, which may result in immediate termination of your account. You may not (i) select or use as a username a name of another person with the intent to impersonate that person; or (ii) use as a username a name subject to any rights of another person without appropriate authorization. Snapwire Breaking News reserves the right to refuse registration of, or cancel, a username, in its sole discretion. If we cancel your registration, you agree that you will not create another one or otherwise try to access Snapwire Breaking News Services without our permission. You agree not to sell, transfer or assign your registration or any registration rights. It is your responsibility to notify us of any changes in such information, including but not limited to your contact information.


You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password and are responsible for all use of your account. It is therefore critical that you do not share your password with anyone. You agree not to use the account, username, email address or password of another member or subscriber at any time and not to allow any other person to use your account. Your account is not transferable. You agree to notify Snapwire Breaking News immediately if you suspect any unauthorized use of, or access to, your account or password.


You understand that you are responsible for all Content that you post, upload, transmit, email or otherwise make available on Snapwire Breaking News Sites or on, through or in connection with Snapwire Breaking News Services. Additionally, you acknowledge that you have no expectation of privacy in or confidentiality with respect to your User Content.


You will not use Snapwire Breaking News Services to:


- Post, upload or otherwise transmit or link to Content that is: unlawful; threatening; abusive; obscene; vulgar; sexually explicit; pornographic or inclusive of nudity; offensive; excessively violent; invasive of another's privacy, publicity, contract or other rights; tortious; false or misleading; defamatory; libelous; hateful; or discriminatory;


- Violate the rights of others including patent, trademark, trade secret, copyright, privacy, publicity or other proprietary rights;


- Harass or harm another person;


- Exploit or endanger a minor;


- Impersonate or attempt to impersonate any person or entity;


- Introduce or engage in an activity that involves the use of viruses, bots, worms, or any other computer code, files or programs that interrupt, destroy, or limit the functionality of any computer software or hardware or telecommunications equipment, or otherwise permit the unauthorized use of or access to a computer or a computer network;


- Attempt to decipher, decompile, disassemble or reverse engineer any of the software comprising the Company Sites or the Company Services;


- Interfere with, damage, disable, disrupt, impair, create an undue burden on, or gain unauthorized access to the Company Services, including Company's servers, networks or accounts;


- Cover, remove, disable, block or obscure advertisements or other portions of Snapwire Breaking News Services;


- Delete or revise any information provided by or pertaining to any other user of Snapwire Breaking News Services;


- Use technology or any automated system such as scripts, spiders, offline readers or bots in order to collect or disseminate usernames, passwords, email addresses or other data from the Company Services, or to circumvent or modify any security technology or software that is part of the Company Services;


- Send or cause to send (directly or indirectly) unsolicited bulk messages or other unsolicited bulk communications of any kind through the Company Services. If you do so, you acknowledge you will have caused substantial harm to Company, but that the amount of harm would be extremely difficult to measure.


You represent and warrant that:


your use of the Service will not infringe the proprietary rights, including but not limited to the copyright, patent, trademark or trade secret rights, of any third party;

You further agree that you will not:
