Video Description
The United Nations once again sounds the alarm over the highly-rapid spread of cholera in war-torn Yemen.

The UN children’s agency, UNICEF, says an estimated three to five thousand people contract the infectious disease every day. The agency adds that seventy thousand cases have been reported in the past month and this could be doubled every two weeks unless more aid is delivered. UNICEF’s Middle East director says the cholera epidemic could reach beyond Yemen and that’s why the neighboring countries should be concerned as well. Impoverished families of Yemen can’t even afford traveling to areas where free treatment is provided. Saudi Arabia’s devastating war, which is in its third year, has also annihilated much of Yemen’s medical infrastructure.
